Mums Recommend
Please tell us about any group or establishment you would like to recommend to other mums. It could be a baby group, a family friendly restaurant, a park or a hairdressers. Anywhere locally that you would like to share with others.
We like Stay and Play Laindon. Not too big and suitable for babes and under 2s.
We like tumble tots too, although expensive it’s worth it as it is local and my 17 month old loves it. Wednesday’s, Ingatestone.

Bumps & Babes at Sawyers Hall Church in Brentwood is lovely. Great place to meet other expectant mums and a lovely group for non-walking babies as babies can play on the floor without being trampled by older children.

I love Mum’s on The Move (brentwood centre) because I can keep fit without the need of a babysitter. And if my baby cries I can stop for a while and feed and join in the class again when we are ready. And I’m not conscious of my baby-weight in this class.

ABC swimming classes are very rewarding for both mums and babies; the babies seem to really enjoy splashing around and it is amazing how quickly they gain confidence in the water

Funky Monkey, Romford Market - good soft play and toys for under 12mths. Free for those under 12mths, only 1pound for parents. Good healthy food in cafe and great for wearing them out before going shopping.

Dambusters - have been several times now and word seems to be getting around. How nice this is for dads to be at a play group and not be the only bloke ! Toys, dressing up clothes, slide, sit and ride toys, stories and rhymes, and even bacon rolls and coffee for the dads, make this a great way to entertain under 5's.
